Scone Palace
The Brief
This garden was built for the Scone Palace Garden Fair's Scottish Garden Design competition, a show on a smaller scale to Chelsea, judged by experts and open to the public. The theme that year was healing, and the challenge was to design and build a full show garden around that idea from scratch, ready for judging and public viewing on the day.

The garden, named Rest, Reflect and Recharge, takes visitors on a short journey through pollinator friendly, scented planting: roses, foxgloves, lavender, rosemary and ornamental grasses, along a gravel path leading to a wooden bench beneath a star jasmine covered arch. At its centre, a bird bath invites a moment to pause and watch the wildlife it draws in, tying the whole design back to its healing theme.
The Result
The garden was awarded a bronze medal by the judging panel, alongside strong, positive feedback from the public who visited on the day. It remains one of our proudest pieces of work, built to compete at the highest level and recognised for it.
